Elegen Bio - ENFINIA DNA
Elegen Bio approached me about making a video for their novel DNA synthesis method, which delivers long linear DNA within seven days, something that no other company can do.
The Challenge:
There are many DNA providers, so we had to be laser focused on highlighting the specific value props of ENFINIA DNA. These included the speed of delivery, the high degree of accuracy, and the complex sequences that other providers cannot create.
The Process:
We created a shot list and storyboard, with a strong focus on highlighting the current problems with the status quo of DNA synthesis. In this process, we decided to split the video up into several 2D motion graphics style explainer sections, as well as a split screen section to really highlight the difference between DNA fragments and the more elegant, long strands that Elegen can produce.
A lot of time was taken here to nail down the design and look. We were going for futuristic, dark theme with techy influences, all while making ENFINIA DNA stand out as sophisticated and elegant.
The Outcome:
The final piece is introduced with motion graphics, and then shows Elegen’s portal, highlighting out easy it is to order DNA from them. This was a perfect point to incorperate a split screen, showing off features of the DNA strand itself. We then return to more explainer style motion graphics.
We also created vertical cut downs of the video, so each clip can be used separately for social channels and linked in. This maximizes the use of the video over many different marketing funnels.
